# Fixed Permanent VMID → IP Reference

**Purpose:** Defines VMIDs whose IP addresses are fixed and must not be changed.

## Fixed VMID → IP Mapping

| 5000 | blockscout-1 | 192.168.11.140 | IP_BLOCKSCOUT | Explorer (Blockscout; web:80, API:4000) |

## Rules

1. **Do not change** these IPs in config, scripts, or documentation.
2. **Source of truth:** `config/ip-addresses.conf`
3. **Scripts:** Use `scripts/lib/vmid-ip-maps.sh` or source `config/ip-addresses.conf`.
4. **Verification:** `scripts/verify/verify-backend-vms.sh` expects these fixed IPs.
